VeriTrace, Inc. is a U.S.-based ANSI/NASPO and ISO 14298–certified security printer specializing in vital records, anti-counterfeit technologies, and brand protection solutions. Since 2015, we have supported government agencies and commercial organizations in protecting identities, securing official documents, and safeguarding branded products from counterfeiting, diversion, and fraud.
Operating under the strict protocols required of certified security printers, VeriTrace designs and manufactures secure printed products within a controlled environment that ensures confidentiality, traceability, and production integrity. Our work helps organizations protect sensitive information, preserve brand value, and maintain trust across complex supply chains.
Our capabilities include the production of anticounterfeit and tamper-evident labels, tapes, seals, security documents, and specialty security papers, enhanced with overt, covert, and forensic technologies. VeriTrace is also one of the few printers globally with inhouse intaglio printing capability—the raised-ink process used in currency and high-security government documents. We produce vital records for multiple U.S. states and government agencies, as well as Certificates of Authenticity, Manufacturer’s Certificates of Origin (MCOs), diplomas, legal documents, and custom collectible notes.

Jim Columbus
Jim brings 41 years of experience in security printing, with comprehensive expertise across all facets of secure document production. He has played a key role in developing the security standards used in today’s vital records programs. Respected throughout the industry for his knowledge, guidance, and technical leadership, Jim has supported both domestic and international initiatives, designing secure document programs, training, and overseeing fullscale implementations.
Robert Sherwood
Robert is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with 30 years of experience in the holographic and security printing industries. He specializes in the analysis, design, and implementation of comprehensive brand protection, security-label, tape, seal, and secure-document programs, integrating advanced anti-counterfeit technologies, authentication protocols, and track-and-trace software systems to mitigate risk and strengthen supply-chain integrity.
Brian D’Angelo
Brian brings 20 years of experience supporting government agencies protect vital records and other high-value documents, as well as partnering with commercial organizations to safeguard their products and brands. Using his expertise in security printing and brand protection strategies, he helps design, from development to deployment, innovative, multi-layered solutions that deter counterfeiting and maintain the integrity of secure documents and branded goods throughout the supply chain.
Doug Parthemore
Doug brings 25 years of experience in the printing industry, with specialized expertise in security print design and intaglio. He combines advanced graphic design capabilities with technical proficiency in flexographic and offset printing processes. Known for anticipating press challenges before they occur, Doug applies disciplined, creative problem-solving to enhance VeriTrace’s anti-counterfeit solutions with precision, consistency, and operational reliability.
